Cycling Vietnam to Laos | HoiAn to Luangprabang

This is a long adventure cycling trip. Our group start on 20th. November 2019 from HoiAn – Vietnam and finish on 12th. December 2019 in Luangprabang – Laos. The trip follows the World Heritage sites: HoiAn, Hue, KheSanh – DMZ area, challenging hills on the west branch of HoChiMinh trail to PhongNha national park, then go north HCM trail until highway 7, passing mountain towns: AnhSon, ConCuong, TuongDuong, MuongXen. Then climb up the Truongson mountain range. Crossing NamKan border to Laos. On to MuangKham, Phonsavan – the Plain of Jars. Then up the mountain again to PhouKhun and on to Luangprabang, the ancient capital of Laos. Such a long trip through the countryside of both Vietnam and Laos.

HoiAn to DaNang, the first warm up part only 30km flat road along beautiful beaches to Danang city. Then we start climb up the HaiVan mountain pass, down hill to LangCo beach. Off the highway, road along fishing village to VinhHien, VinhThanh, ThanhToan covered bridge and to Hue city.

The climb up to HaiVan pass is ~ 10km up to the top +496m, and about 10km down the pass to LangCo beach. Picture below is the scene from HaiVan summit, looking down to LangCo on the right side of photo.
