Relax by the pool in one of the many lovely tropical resorts near Hoi An or Nha Trang, hike amidst the spectacular sand dunes found in the Mui Ne peninsula, swim in the crystal blue waters of Danang, among Vietnam beaches, or watch a sunrise along a pristine white-sand beach. If you stand by the waters edge and look up at the sand dunes in the backdrop, you might fancy yourself in the Middle East or Africa. Visitors find the fishing villages of Doc Let and Mui Ne here to be terrific places to stay.
Phu Quoc Island is distinct from all of Vietnams other places to visit. It has some of the most beautiful Vietnam beaches, and it remains largely pristine and undeveloped. To get here, join our Mekong Delta trip to Can Tho and Rach Gia (codes SBL13 and SBL14) and then travel by speedboat to Phu Quoc; to return, you may fly back to Saigon (HCMC). If you like Nha Trang beach, take our central highland tour to Dalat and Lak lake, then we go down the mountain to Doc Let beach and Nha Trang beach at the end of our tour.
Alternatively, you might consider relaxing on a tranquil Cambodian beach in Kampot or Sihanoukville as an option out of Vietnam beaches. Enter Cambodia via the Ha Tien, Xa Xia/Prek Chak border crossings, then you continue on to Kep beach, Kampot, and then on to Sihanoukville – where you always find a great beach, one eminently suited for relaxation. From here, you may venture on via ferry to Koh Kong and from there overland to Thailand’s Trat. Alternatively, you might continue onward to Phnom Penh and Siem Reap (the location of the spectacular Angkor Wat temple).
